TIME TO PREPARE FOR THE WINTER! Do you have your emergency car kit? Have you thought about initiating a Map Your Neighborhood plan with your neighbors on how to work together during an emergency? Chief Randy Heston encourages residents to start preparing for winter now, and has helpful checklists on the Police Department webpage. Where the Garden Project Meets Main Street
The Langley Garden Project joined with Langley Main Street in planning a big beautiful spring for our town.
The groups raised the funds, purchased and planted 5000 bulbs during two work parties in October Starting with ribbons of gold daffodils and exploding into a colorful riot of tulips, the Spring will be beautiful in Langley!
Thank you to the work party organizers and volunteers!

If you would like to support the ongoing Langley beautification efforts, donations can be made at Whidbey Island Bank – in cash or a check made out to "Langley Main Street." If you are reading this and are not around, you may send you check to Langley Main Street at PO Box 123, Langley WA 98260.

SCHOOL HAS STARTED!
POLICE CHIEF RANDY HESTON ADVISES
Please slow down in school zones!
Chief Heston reminds everyone that the beginning of school is a time when children are at increased risk of transportation related injuries. There are more children on the road and shorter daylight hours, making it especially difficult to see young pedestrians and bicyclists.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF SCHOOL ZONE SPEED LIMITS
The start of school means it is time for everyone to improve their traffic safety practices. Thank you!
