Green country Lane in Langley, WA

The City of Langley is committed to fostering a sustainable community for residents, visitors, and businesses. Linda Irvine, the city’s Community Resource Conservation Manager, works with neighborhoods and businesses to provide information, tools and resources so they can take action to reduce energy costs and Langley’s ecological “footprint.”

Energy

Energy efficiency is a great way to cut your energy costs, increase energy independence, and help the environment. The average home in Langley pays $1,200 per year for electricity, contributing about 6 tons of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.  Through efficiency, green power, or local generation, you can help be a part of lowering our energy costs and our carbon footprint!

Water Conservation

Saving water saves energy. The City’s single largest electric expense is to pump and treat the water we use every day.
