Police Department

The Langley Police Department serves the public safety needs of residents and visitors. Our officers always strive to promote mutual respect through quality communication. Mediation is a key component of our training and our service. Our priority is to "work together" to solve issues that are reported to the City or are encountered by officers when on duty.

Notably, all our officers live in the community... either in Langley or in the immediate vicinity. We consider Langley our home, and this brings an important dimension to our work that serves the community's interests.

We encourage you to contact the Police Department any time you have a question or concern regarding a public safety issue.

BACK TO SCHOOL - WATCH OUT FOR THE KIDS

Police Chief Randy Heston would like to remind motorists to drive carefully and pay special attention when driving around schools.

Remember to obey the flashing red lights on schools busses and yellow flashing lights in the school zones as well as always yielding the right-of-way to pedestrians.

Langley Middle School Zone is 20 MPH from 07:30 am to 4:00 pm while school is in session.

To assist with traffic flow and improve safety, drivers should not make U-turns on streets around the schools.

Parents and students are urged to use available crosswalks and wait for assistance from crossing guards, where available.

It’s up to everyone to protect our local children while they are going to and from school, so please slow down and help make this a safe school year.
