Library Board
The Library Board promotes public awareness of the Langley Library and the programs it offers. It is responsible for monitoring all issues related to the library building, including maintenance and furnishings, landscaping, and public use of the library building. The library is a part of the Sno-Isle Library System (Click here to go to the Sno-Isle Library web site).
The Library Board meets quarterly on the second Thursday in March, June, September and December.

NEW !! AWC Center for Quality Community Scholarship
Langley Offers Scholarship Opportunity
The City of Langley will be selecting and nominating one graduating senior for a $1000 scholarship from the Association of Washington Cities Center for Quality Communities. In addition the local nominee will receive a $500 scholarship from the Friends of the Langley Library. Students living within the South Whidbey School District boundaries, and graduating from high school, home school or receiving a GED by the end of June 2012, are eligible to apply.
The scholarship is available through a competitive process for students who are actively engaged in their community and/or city government. Four scholarships will be awarded statewide. Applicants must be Washington residents and plan to continue their education in fall 2012 at an accredited college, community college, or trade school, on at least a half-time basis.
Applications are due at Langley City Hall by Thursday, February 23, 2012 by 5:00 PM. The Langley Library Board is coordinating the application and selection process, and will recommend the nominee to the city council at their March 5, 2012 meeting.

LANGLEY LIBRARY ANNEXATION AGREEMENT APPROVED
Annexation was approved by nearly 80% the voters of Langley at the November 2, 2010 General Election. The library will be annexed to Sno-Isle Libraries system January 2012. The Council approved an annexation agreemen tiwth Sno-Isle Libraries system on June 20, 2011. Click here for a copy of the annexation agreement.
