Appointment Process
Appointments to City boards and commissions are made by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. The process of appointment includes:
- Review of applications by the Mayor and Board Chair and/or Council Contact.
- Applicant interviews by interview team (Mayor, Board Chair, Council Contact, Key Staff Person). The Mayor will decide on the number of interviews depending on the number of applicants and vacancies.
- Mayor selects appointees and presents to City Council.
- City Council approves appointments.
